Job summary

SSEN Transmission is recruiting a Senior Land Manager to secure and manage land rights for major Scottish capital projects. You will drive land assemblies, negotiate with landowners, and coordinate statutory processes to support network development.

You will work with a range of stakeholders, including government bodies, landowners and local authorities, ensuring compliant land rights strategies across the region.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of landownership systems in Scotland.
• In-depth knowledge of land and property rights, wayleaves and servitudes.
• Familiarity with Electricity Act 1989 and related legislation.
• Experience in engaging with stakeholders and negotiations over land rights.
• Membership or progression towards Rural Valuation bodies.

Responsibilities

• Secure, maintain and manage land rights for major projects across Scotland.
• Implement land assembly strategy using statutory powers like wayleaves and CPOs.
• Lead landowner liaison and coordinate wayleaves and CPOs.
• Build relationships with stakeholders including authorities and landowners.
• Coordinate multi-discipline inputs for statutory submissions.
