Job summary

Miller Homes Ltd in Derby (East Midlands) is seeking a Land Manager / Senior Land Manager to identify and secure land opportunities to meet the region's requirements. You will join the East Midlands Land team based in Derby and work on deals from initial contact to legally binding completion.

The role requires extensive land acquisition experience, strong numeracy for land appraisal, and knowledge of planning and legal matters.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of land acquisition, preferably in a private house building environment.
• Numerate and conversant with Land Appraisal systems, budgets etc.
• Able to work on own or as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Knowledge of legal, technical and planning matters related to the land acquisition process.

Responsibilities

• Identification of land opportunities, both on and off market, that fit the company's requirements.
• Maintaining a comprehensive network of relevant contacts in the regional operating area.
• Progress deals post offer acceptance, including liaison with Solicitors towards exchange of contracts and final completion.
• Engage in CPD to ensure knowledge of relevant technical/planning/legal matters is maintained.

We are looking to recruit a Land Manager or Senior Land Manager to join our East Midlands Land team based in Derby. The Land Manager / Senior Land Manager will identify, evaluate and secure land opportunities that meet, or exceed, the business needs for the Region and Area.

Land Manager Responsibilities

• Identification of land opportunities, both on and off market, that fit the company's requirements (as amended from time to time)
• Maintaining a comprehensive network of relevant contacts, particularly in the regional operating area(or other as directed)
• Progress deals post offer acceptance, including liaison with internal and external parties (e.g. Solicitors) towards exchange of contracts and subsequent legal completion
• Engage in appropriate CPD to ensure knowledge of relevant technical/ planning/legal, or other matters relevant to the job, are maintained
