Job summary

Miller Homes Ltd in Derby, East Midlands, is seeking a Land Manager or Senior Land Manager to identify, evaluate and secure land opportunities that meet the region's growth targets. You will work within the East Midlands Land team to drive opportunities and liaise with internal and external parties to progress deals.

You will build and maintain a network of contacts, manage post-offer progress with solicitors, and keep up-to-date with planning and legal matters through CPD and professional

Qualifications

• Experience in land acquisition, preferably in private housing development.
• Numerate and proficient with land appraisal systems and budgets.
• Capable of working independently or in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of legal, technical and planning matters related to land acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Identify land opportunities on and off market that fit requirements.
• Maintain a network of regional contacts and stakeholders.
• Progress deals post-offer with solicitors to contract exchange and completion.
• Engage in CPD to remain up-to-date on technical/planning/legal matters.

We are looking to recruit a Land Manager or Senior Land Manager to join our East Midlands Land team based in Derby. The Land Manager / Senior Land Manager will identify, evaluate and secure land opportunities that meet, or exceed, the business needs for the Region and Area.

Land Manager Responsibilities

• Identification of land opportunities, both on and off market, that fit the company’s requirements (as amended from time to time)
• Maintaining a comprehensive network of relevant contacts, particularly in the regional operating area(or other as directed)
• Progress deals post offer acceptance, including liaison with internal and external parties (e.g. Solicitors) towards exchange of contracts and subsequent legal completion
• Engage in appropriate CPD to ensure knowledge of relevant technical/ planning/legal, or other matters relevant to the job, are maintained

Land Manager Requirements

• Extensive experience of land acquisition, preferably gained in a private house building environment
• Numerate and conversant with Land Appraisal systems, budgets etc.
• Able to work on own or as part of a multi-disciplined team
• Knowledge of legal, technical and planning matters related to the land acquisition process
