Job summary

The People Co. in Oxfordshire is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join its expanding R&D team. This hands-on role focuses on analytical testing, lab trials and product development, delivering reliable data to move projects forward.

You'll work alongside the wider R&D group, handling assays such as OPA, DH, Bradford and SDS-PAGE, and maintaining HPLC methods and instrumentation. Travel may be occasional.

Qualifications

• Solid laboratory experience and hands-on attitude with strong technical interest.
• Experience in a laboratory, analytical or R&D environment.
• Protein, polysaccharide and/or lipid chemistry background preferred.
• Ability to run OPA, DH, Bradford and SDS-PAGE assays.
• HPLC methods and instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Produce accurate, reliable and reproducible analytical results.
• Careful, methodical work with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Running laboratory assays including OPA, DH, Bradford and SDS-PAGE.
• Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting HPLC methods and instrumentation.
• Supporting R&D projects, laboratory trials and new product development.
• Recording, analysing and reporting laboratory data accurately.
• Looking after laboratory equipment, analytical methods and SOPs.
• Investigating and resolving analytical and equipment issues.
• Supporting laboratory health & safety, COSHH docs and risk assessments.
• Helping to improve laboratory methods and processes where there is an opportunity.
