Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts seeks a Senior Arthroplasty Fellow (Post CCT) for two 12-month fellowships, starting August 2027. Fellows will rotate 6 months with each trainer and may pursue a subspecialty fellowship by interview.

The Knee Fellow trains with Mr Ben Bloch and Mr Reshid Berber/Mr Hosam Matar; the Hip Fellow with Mr Andrew Manktelow and Mr Mark Higgins, gaining experience in complex hip and knee arthroplasty.

Qualifications

• Registrar-level experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
• CCT/CESR in Trauma & Orthopaedics (or expected to achieve by start date)
• Logbook evidence of experience in hip and knee arthroplasty; confident to perform primary arthroplasty with trainer scrubbed
• GMC Registration and MRCS/FRCS prerequisites

Responsibilities

• Work with the predominantly elective surgeons specialising in hip and knee arthroplasty and revision. Please find full detailed job description in the attachment within the advert.
• Attend all elective clinics and theatres for the consultants during the attachment; spend up to 6 months with each trainer.
