Job summary

Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the UK is offering a Knee Fellowship designed for an orthopaedic surgeon who has or will have CCT in Trauma and Orthopaedics, aiming to gain a further period of development in knee surgery in preparation for a consultant role.

The post includes opportunities to develop independent surgical practice, exposure to knee clinics and theatre lists, and involvement in audit and research, subject to satisfactory assessment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 month's surgical Knee Experience.
• Satisfactory evidence of independent operating in the main knee surgical procedures.
• Evidence of engagement in audit and or research.
• Evidence of audit or research activity within knee sub-specialty.
• GMC Registration with license to practice and specialty registration in trauma and orthopaedics (or evidence of imminent completion).

Responsibilities

• Undertake out-patient clinics, theatre lists and related pre- and post-operative work.
• Participate in the duty rota for Orthopaedic Specialist Registrars with regular commitments to knee surgery.
• Engage in knee/ sports injuries clinics and theatre lists and contribute to audit and research.
