Thomas Franks is recruiting a Senior Kitchen Porter for our Ashtead Park site in Surrey. This full-time, permanent role offers 40 hours per week with a salary of £13.72 per hour and on-site parking.

You will support the kitchen team by managing porter duties, assisting with food prep, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining high hygiene standards in a busy educational catering operation serving the school and staff daily.

Qualifikationen

• Kitchen Porter experience preferred but not essential.
• Reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Manage and monitor chemical stock levels.
• Arrange and complete end-of-day checks.
• Oversee the work and duties of the Kitchen Porters.
• Create and organise daily schedules for the Kitchen Porters.
• Work closely with the Manager and Chefs to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
• Great team player.
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials, including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher.

Salary: 13.72
Hours: 40 per week

A day and boarding co-educational school for pupils from year 3 to 6th form in Ashtead Park, Surrey. Catering for 950 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, lunch, supper, tuckshop twice daily, 6th form café, internal and external hospitality. This is a mix of term time only, term time plus 4 weeks and 52 week depending on role and operates 7 days a week. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Ashtead Park.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.
