The Mason’s Arms in the Cotswolds is seeking a Senior Kitchen Porter to lead the kitchen porter team and uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation. You will work closely with the Head Chef to manage rotas, supplies and daily kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth service in a busy, award-winning gastro pub.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Kitchen Porter or in a supervisory role.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to lead, support and motivate a team.
• Solid understanding of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Proactive approach with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and organise the kitchen porter team.
• Manage rotas and ensure adequate cover for services and cleaning duties.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation in the kitchen.
• Ensure daily and weekly cleaning schedules are completed.
• Order and monitor cleaning products, chemicals, uniforms and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure safe storage and use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Support recruitment, training and development of porters.
• Enforce health, safety and food hygiene procedures.
• Report maintenance issues and shortages to the Head Chef.
• Assist with basic administration and day-to-day kitchen tasks.
