Job summary

The Mason’s Arms in the Cotswolds is seeking a Senior Kitchen Porter to lead our kitchen porter team and uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to manage day-to-day operations, oversee cleaning schedules, supervise rotas, monitor stock of cleansers and equipment, and support recruitment and training of porters in a busy, award-winning kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Kitchen Porter or in a similar supervisory role.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to lead, support and motivate a team.
• A strong understanding of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• A proactive approach and good attention to detail.
• The ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Experience in a quality restaurant, hotel or gastro pub would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and organise the kitchen porter team.

• Ensure the team follows health, safety and food hygiene procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment shortages and operational concerns.
• Assist the Head Chef with basic administration and day-to-day kitchen tasks.

The Role
