South Coast Nursing Homes is seeking an experienced Chef to join our care home kitchen team. You will work with a kitchen assistant to prepare high-quality meals for residents, adhering to food hygiene standards and company recipes.

The role involves leading on kitchen standards, maintaining hygiene, and overseeing daily operations to ensure a safe, welcoming dining experience for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2 Chef (Professional Cooking).
• Experience in a busy catering environment is essential.
• A Food Hygiene Level 2/3 qualification or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen assistant in delivering consistently inspirational food across all service points.
• Maintain standards set by the Executive Chef including food quality, hygiene, and staff appearance.
• Manage hygiene, cleaning and safety of all catering facilities and report equipment issues.
• Maintain essential records as required by HACCP, temperature checks and kitchen audits.
