South Coast Nursing Homes in Worthing, West Sussex, is seeking a Chef to lead a team in delivering high-quality meals for residents, 40 hours a week with every other weekend.

You will maintain hygiene, HACCP compliance, and support staff development while creating nutritious, varied menus that meet regulatory standards and resident preferences.

Salary is £14.85 per hour on weekdays and £15.59 on weekends, with benefits including pension, sick pay, and staff perks.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Chef (Professional Cooking) minimum requirement.
• Experience in a busy catering environment.
• Food Hygiene Level 2/3 qualification, or greater will be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of kitchen assistants to deliver inspirational food across the Home.
• Maintain standards set by the Company Chef, including hygiene and safety.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, temperature checks and kitchen audits.
