OneAPPS Consulting in London is seeking an experienced Senior KDB+ Developer to design and optimize high-performance data platforms built on kdb+. You will work closely with Risk stakeholders and deliver scalable, efficient solutions across real-time and historical workloads.

The role requires deep expertise in kdb+ tick architecture, q language, and performance tuning at scale, with mentoring responsibilities and participation in an Agile delivery process.

Qualifications

• Hands-on KDB+ development in a production environment.
• Deep Q language skills: tables, joins, aggregations and windowed analytics.
• Experience with tick architecture: ticker plant, RDB, HDB.
• Proven ability to optimize queries for performance and scale.
• Unix/Linux proficiency including shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD and version control practices.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain kdb+ tick systems for high performance data platforms.
• Handle large, high-frequency datasets with low latency and high throughput.
• Analyze and optimize q queries and ingestion pipelines for real-time and historical workloads.
• Collaborate with Risk teams to translate requirements into scalable code.
• Drive performance benchmarking and continuous improvement through refactoring.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers to promote technical excellence.
• Participate in design reviews, production support and RCA of complex issues.
• Contribute to agile delivery, testing and release activities.
