Job summary

Gravitas Group is seeking a Senior KDB+ Developer in London for a 12-month contract, with a hybrid work model and a day rate up to £900. You will join a front-office trading technology team to design and deliver high-performance KDB+ solutions supporting trading, pricing, risk and analytics.

The role is hands-on, requires strong Linux/Unix skills and experience building real-time, low-latency data platforms, and involves close collaboration with traders and tech stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with KDB+/q.
• Development of low-latency, real-time systems.
• Solid Linux/Unix expertise.
• Performance tuning and monitoring experience.
• Strong understanding of software development and testing practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support KDB+ applications and real-time data platforms.
• Work directly with front-office users to understand and deliver business requirements.
• Develop APIs, data models and streaming solutions.
• Build monitoring, analytics and compliance tools.
• Optimize performance across low-latency systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.
