Job summary

Joma Jewellery And Katie Loxton is seeking a Buyer to join our Buying team, developing beautiful, commercially successful jewellery ranges and owning allocated categories from initial range development through to delivery. You’ll balance creativity, quality and commercial performance while mentoring junior team members.

The role is Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, based at our Banbury head office with an average three days in the office and two remote days; during key seasonal sign-off periods, full

Qualifications

• Experience in retail/fashion jewellery or related product industry
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage categories and hit targets
• Excellent product development knowledge and awareness of jewellery trends
• Strong analytics to translate sales data into actions
• Confident supplier negotiator with experience managing relationships
• Established people management skills
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage deadlines
• Detail-oriented with pricing and product information accuracy
• Confident communicator to influence stakeholders
• Proactive, agile and self-motivated
• MS Office proficiency including Excel/Outlook/Word; experience with NetSuite and Power BI
• Understanding of buying cycles, critical path, product quality and compliance
• Collaborative approach and commitment to developing others

Responsibilities

• Translate department and category strategies into clear plans and priorities
• Lead development and delivery of trend-led jewellery ranges reflecting brand identity
• Negotiate product costs within parameters to achieve margins
• Oversee sampling, development and approvals through sign-offs
• Maintain buying documentation, pricing calculations and margin reviews
• Analyse sales performance to identify risks and opportunities
• Manage supplier relationships and critical path milestones
• Ensure quality control and compliance across categories
• Collaborate across Design, Merchandising, PR/Marketing and other teams
• Lead and develop junior Buying team members
