Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Test Engineer with strong Java automation skills to design and build robust automated testing frameworks. You’ll work within an agile delivery team, delivering coverage across UI, API, and integration layers, and collaborating with developers and product owners to ensure quality from sprint to release.

You will contribute to testing strategies, automate decisions, and help improve CI/CD pipelines while performing cross-browser testing and exploratory testing as required.

Qualifications

• Strong Java skills with ability to build and review Java-based test frameworks.
• Experience designing automation frameworks using Java and testing tools.
• Experience delivering automated test coverage across functional, API, and UI layers.
• Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Java-based automation frameworks from scratch.
• Deliver automated test coverage across functional, cross-browser, API, and integration layers.
• Extend API test suites using Karate, REST-assured, or similar.
• Define test strategies and scripts with traceability from requirements to test coverage.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners in an agile delivery team.
• Perform front-end cross-browser testing, exploratory testing, and UAT when required.
• Provide defect analysis and contribute to process improvements.
• Assist in CI/CD pipeline improvements and quality gates.
