Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to design and implement Java-based automation frameworks, delivering end-to-end automated testing across functional, API, and integration layers. You will work within an agile delivery team alongside developers and product owners to ensure high-quality software releases.

Responsibilities include building test suites with Selenium/Playwright/Karate, driving CI/CD integration, and guiding test strategy across sprints.

Qualifications

• Strong Java skills and ability to design and own Java-based test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Karate.
• Experience delivering automated test coverage across functional, API, and integration tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
• Ability to work in agile delivery environments and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Java-based test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Deliver automated test coverage across functional, cross-browser, API, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Build and extend API test suites using Java-based tools and validate service contracts.
• Define and execute test strategies, plans, and scripts within agile cycles.
• Support development teams to write and automate tests guiding development and CI/CD integration.
• Perform front-end cross-browser testing and exploratory testing as required.
• Document defects, analyze root causes, and drive continuous quality improvements.
• Review test environments and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
