Understanding Recruitment is partnering with an FX Market Disruptor FinTech that has been acquired by a leading capital markets group. They seek an experienced Java Developer for a hands-on Senior/Lead role in London, leading the next generation of Java developers.

You will work on multithreading, low latency, FX/trading domains, and build microservices in the cloud (GCP, AWS) with Kubernetes, providing technical leadership through architecture decisions and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Multithreading, concurrency, low latency.
• FX/trading sector experience.
• Building microservices in the cloud (GCP, AWS) with Kubernetes.
• Product-led development – architecting, building and delivering.
• Technical leadership: mentoring, code reviews, pairing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Java Developers while remaining hands-on and technically involved.
• Make architectural decisions, conduct reviews and pair programming.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers while delivering senior-level deliverables.
