Job summary

Understanding Recruitment is partnering with a central London-based fintech scale-up building trading software for asset management and hedge funds. They are looking for a Junior or Mid Java Software Engineer to join their team, 2-3 days a week in the Central London office.

You should have 1-3 years of commercial Java development, a CS degree from a top Russell Group university, and hands-on experience with multithreading, AWS, and DevOps.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years commercial Java development experience.
• CS degree from a top Russell Group university or similar.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency and high-throughput systems.
• Experience with AWS/public cloud and DevOps tools.
• TDD, pair-programming and CD are valued.

Responsibilities

• Build distributed, low-latency trading systems.
• Work in a team that encourages pair-programming.
• Receive relevant training if coming from a non-financial background.
