Job summary

DP World in Southampton is seeking a Senior Developer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software for our customs and logistics platforms. You will own complex development tasks, mentor others, and contribute to modern, scalable systems in a fast-moving enterprise environment.

You will collaborate with project managers, BAs, QA, IT operations, and other technical teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while supporting CI/CD pipelines and engineering

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering software in a commercial or enterprise environment.
• Strong Java development expertise with Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Selenium or similar).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and Agile/DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to standards.
• Collaborate with PMs, BAs, QA, IT operations and stakeholders to ensure delivery.
• Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and design workshops.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects with root-cause analysis.
• Produce and maintain design specifications and release documentation.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives.
• Contribute to agile delivery activities including sprint planning, estimations, retrospectives.
• Mentor junior developers and promote a collaborative team culture.
• Ensure security standards and regulatory governance compliance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and practices.
