Job summary

Altimetrik is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a global financial institution undergoing large-scale digital transformation. The role is hybrid with three days onsite in London, focused on building Java applications using Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.

You will work with REST/SOAP services, databases, and cloud platforms, while collaborating with stakeholders in an Agile setting. A strong OO design background and experience with Docker/Kubernetes are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Java development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
• Knowledge of Oracle and/or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with TeamCity, Jira and Git.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
