The Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to design and develop backend solutions in a complex financial services environment. You will focus on Java, Spring Boot and microservices, building scalable REST APIs and ensuring code quality.

You'll collaborate in an Agile team, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and work with Oracle SQL/PLSQL, AWS and Kubernetes to deliver reliable business-critical software.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java, Spring Boot and RESTful services.
• Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Maven, Jenkins and modern development practices.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to develop and maintain high-quality software solutions, including microservices and user interfaces within a complex enterprise environment. The role is primarily backend-focused, with an emphasis on Java and Spring Boot development. You will contribute to scalable applications, collaborate within an Agile environment and help deliver reliable, business-critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.
• Build RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain database solutions using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Contribute to automated testing and software quality.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver incremental business value.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and manage multiple priorities.
• Contribute to front-end development where required.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 6-9 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful services.
• Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Maven, Jenkins and modern development practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
• Desirable: Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
• Automated testing tools such as Karate, Playwright or similar.
• Exposure to AWS, Kubernetes or Kafka.
• Experience in financial services, investment management or other complex enterprise platforms.
