Job summary

Cathcart Technology is seeking three Senior Java Software Engineers to join their engineering teams on complex, highly regulated platforms.

You'll work in a remote-first, Agile/XP culture with monthly office visits to South Manchester, delivering end-to-end features, mentoring peers and shaping technical direction in a collaborative environment. The core stack includes Java, Spring Boot, React and cloud technologies, with strong emphasis on craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience.
• Experience with or strong interest in TDD and XP practices.
• Experience delivering features end-to-end in Agile teams.
• Mentoring and knowledge sharing with other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop features end-to-end in a cross-functional Scrum team.
• Mentor and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Contribute to technical direction and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers.
