Cathcart Technology is partnering with a long-established technology business to hire two Java Software Developers for cross-functional teams working on complex, regulated platforms.

The role offers a remote-first setup with occasional office visits in South Manchester, a salary of £50,000–£60,000 plus bonus and strong benefits, and a culture that values craft, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial Java development experience.
• Good software engineering fundamentals.
• Clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Ability to contribute to production systems in an Agile environment.
• Enjoy collaborating with other Developers rather than working in isolation.
• Willing to learn and develop skills across testing, cloud technologies and modern tooling.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cross-functional Scrum team to build and enhance reliable, scalable software.
• Contribute ideas and help improve engineering practices and approaches.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Test Analysts and fellow Engineers.
• Support production systems and participate in an Agile development culture.
