SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a growing consultancy delivering complex, mission-critical software across Central Government. You’ll work in an Agile team on full-stack development with Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, deployed across AWS, Azure and private clouds.

This hands-on role offers ownership, mentoring opportunities, direct client engagement, and clear paths to technical leadership, with remote-first

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Java experience.
• Full-stack development experience ideally with TypeScript, JavaScript or React.
• Experience working with AWS and/or Azure.
• CI/CD experience with tools such as GitLab.
• Good understanding of software design, development and testing.
• Comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience mentoring engineers or taking ownership of technical work is beneficial.
• Consultancy experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Join Agile engineering team delivering bespoke software for clients.
• Work across the full software lifecycle from requirements to deployment and support.
• Influence technical decisions and mentor other engineers.
• Collaborate directly with clients to deliver value and ownership of technical work.
