_Nology in Newcastle is seeking Java Developers to join a multidisciplinary delivery team. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential to convert to permanent, suited for Senior Analyst/Consultant level, with relocation support if not local.

You will build modular services using Java 11+ and Spring Boot, develop microservices, and deploy containerised solutions to AWS. The role involves Agile ceremonies; senior staff will mentor others and shape technical direction.

Formación

• Substantial experience with Java development
• In-depth understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Exposure to Python for scripting or automation tasks
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
• Right to work in the UK
• Must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance
• Applicants must be eligible for SC clearance

Responsabilidades

• Build modular, maintainable services using Java 11+ and Spring Boot
• Develop microservices and support end-to-end integration between technical components
• Work with cloud and infrastructure teams to deploy containerised solutions into secure public cloud environments such as AWS
• Use strong engineering practices including coding standards, branching strategies, test-driven development, continuous integration and continuous testing
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including refinement, planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
• Review code, mentor colleagues, shape technical approaches and promote engineering best practice
