Job summary

Stanford Black in London is seeking a senior Java engineer to help build our first firmwide data analytics platform. You will contribute to a greenfield project, applying bleeding-edge technologies and open-source practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration, innovative problem solving, and a preference for cloud-native and container-based deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, and streaming tech such as Kafka or Flink. A strong, committed team culture awaits shaping the platform’s future.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Java development experience.
• Passion for open-source technologies.
• Experience with Agile engineering principles (TDD, XP, pair programming).
• Nice to have: Kafka and Flink experience.
• Nice to have: cloud-native environments.
• Nice to have: Docker and Kubernetes deployment experience.
• Nice to have: Apache Druid familiarity.
