Job summary

X4 Technology is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a hybrid fintech product engineering team. You will help integrate a market-leading platform that handles high-volume, real-time payments, contributing to scalable and resilient applications.

The role emphasizes collaboration, code quality, and architectural input. You’ll work with Java 11+, Spring, and reactive programming, and gain exposure to distributed systems, CI/CD, and Agile delivery in a FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 11+ with Spring framework.
• Experience in building reactive, event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery practices.
• Designing scalable, highly-available applications for fintech/payments.
• Experience with Akka, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Angular or Ansible is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, reusable code for scalable payments platform.
• Collaborate on architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to real-time payment processing and system resilience.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative product engineering team, integrating a market-leading platform that processes high-volume, mission-critical transactions. You'll play a key role in integrating and building scalable, resilient applications while contributing to architectural decisions and engineering best practices.

You'll be involved in writing high-quality, reusable code, solving complex engineering challenges, and helping to shape the future of a platform trusted by major financial organisations.

We're looking for engineers with experience in:

• Java 11+ and Spring
• Kafka
• Building asynchronous, event-driven or distributed systems
• CI/CD and Agile delivery
• Designing scalable, high-availability applications
• Fintech, Banking or Payments experience
• Experience with AKKA, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Angular or Ansible would be advantageous but isn't essential.
