Job summary

Red Top Resources Ltd in Central Newbury is seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to deliver high quality software that meets business and customer needs. The role requires interpreting specifications, developing applications within agreed timeframes and maintaining software and documentation.

You will provide 3rd level support and collaborate with colleagues and customers who use and support the software. On-site work five days a week with no free parking available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing production Java applications.
• 3+ years of SQL experience.
• Experience building web applications and RESTful APIs with modern web technologies.
• Experience with Jakarta EE or equivalent enterprise Java frameworks.
• Proficient in HTML/CSS and JavaScript for front-end.
• Experience with IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse.
• Experience with Git in a collaborative environment.
• Database experience: PostgreSQL, MongoDB or SQLite
• Ability to design schemas, queries and data access layers.
• Experience designing modular, maintainable software systems.
• Familiar with unit and system testing; Agile environment.
