Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to design and build robust, scalable microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3. You will work across the full backend stack, from API design through production-grade testing, with a strong emphasis on integration tests and service collaboration.

The role focuses on designing RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures with Kafka, and applying domain-driven design principles.

Qualifications

Deep hands-on experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.
Proven ability to design and maintain microservices architectures.
Experience with Kafka and event-driven patterns.
Strong knowledge of REST API design best practices.
Proficiency with Gradle for build management.
Experience with MapStruct and Feign.
Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD) patterns.
Experience writing integration tests across services.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend microservices with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.
Design and implement clean REST APIs.
Build event-driven services using Kafka.
Apply domain-driven design to structure services around business capabilities.
Use MapStruct for object mapping and Feign for service communication.
Manage builds and dependencies with Gradle.
