Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, build, and support scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring technologies. The role requires hands-on engineering across the full development lifecycle and the ability to work in a complex enterprise environment in London.

In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders, develop RESTful APIs, optimize data access, and contribute to system stability, performance, and observability

Qualifications

7+ years of Java application development and enterprise software engineering.
4+ years of Spring/Spring Boot and backend development.
3+ years of REST APIs and relational databases.
3+ years across the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and implement new functionality with Java and Spring Boot.
Develop backend services, APIs, and reusable components.
Translate requirements from stakeholders into technical solutions.
Design and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external apps.
Investigate production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Drive improvements in stability, performance, monitoring, and observability.
