LDMS, part of LC Financial Holdings, is seeking a Java backend engineer in Cardiff. Hybrid/flexible working and a salary up to £55,000 with a 20% annual bonus are on offer.

You will develop REST APIs with Java 8+ and Spring Boot, work with Postgres/Oracle, participate in Agile ceremonies, and drive quality through automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience building REST APIs with Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres or Oracle).
• Experience with Jenkins CI and Git version control.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
• Desirable: Docker, Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), TypeScript/React/Angular, WDIO/Selenium, financial services exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop software in a professional manner - producing stable applications aligned to user needs.
• Participate in Agile team ceremonies.
• Work with Product Owners to support feature definition from a backend perspective.
• Deliver backend features and enhancements using the tech stack.
• Contribute to automated testing to ensure quality.
• Support roll-out and deployment of features end-to-end.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Drive engineering standards and practices.
