Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting, a multi-award-winning digital consultancy in the UK, seeks an experienced Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side services and APIs. You will drive the adoption of agentic AI capabilities within our engineering platform and contribute to architecture and data model design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10-15 years of backend development experience.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade services in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Exposure to AI/LLM capabilities integration into production systems.
• Strong communication skills; capable of explaining technical trade-offs to stakeholders.
• SC Clearance/Eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to system architecture and data model design with senior engineers.
• Write clean, well-tested code following TDD/BDD practices and team standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Integrate backend services with databases, messaging systems, and third-party APIs.
• Build and operate agentic AI workflows within backend systems.
