Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications in the UK Cyber (UK) Business seeks a senior Project/Systems Engineer to lead IV&V activities across hardware, software and firmware systems, ensuring system requirements translate into secure, demonstrable evidence. The role entails line/technical leadership for teams, with travel within the UK for external testing and stakeholders.

You will mentor engineers, assure project delivery to schedule and budget, and uphold safety and security standards in all IV&V

Qualifications

• Has extant/recent SC security clearance
• Willing and able to obtain, and maintain, DV security clearance
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or defence industry experience
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering/V&V experience of HW/SW/FW components
• Has designed and delivered test equipment to meet diverse project requirements
• Safety and security management for test environments including laboratories

Responsibilities

• Lead IV&V activities and ensure delivery through System Integration, Verification and Validation processes
• Ensure correctness and completeness of work products from requirements to delivery
• Create and maintain IV&V artefacts (Strategies, Plans, Procedures, Compliance Matrices, Reports)
• Conduct IV&V tasks per industry practices to meet maturity goals
• Lead cross-discipline development of test equipment/rigs/fixtures and oversee testing
• Manage safety and security aspects of IV&V facilities and events
• Participate in design reviews and project gates/reviews, drive TRR actions
• Support Qualification activities, including in-house and external test houses
• Coordinate external IV&V facilities/test houses for interoperability testing
• Contribute to process/tool improvements for SE and IV&V
