Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications is seeking a senior Project/Systems Engineer to lead IV&V activities across the lifecycle. You will ensure system requirements, architecture, design and integration meet cost and manufacture targets, acting as a senior technical mentor on complex challenges.

The role requires UK travel, security clearances, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance while guiding junior staff and project managers.

Qualifications

• SC security clearance required.
• Willing and able to obtain DV security clearance.
• Degree in Engineering/Math/Physics or defence industry experience.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering and V&V for hardware, software and firmware.
• Experience delivering IV&V in line with ISO 29119.
• Travel within the UK to support external stakeholders and test houses.
• Line or Technical management experience or SME responsibilities.
• INCOSE member or ASEP/CSEP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assure IV&V and delivery of conclusive evidence via IV&V processes.
• Ensure work products are complete from requirements to delivery.
• Create and maintain IV&V artefacts (Plans, Procedures, Reports).
• Lead cross-discipline development of test equipment and fixtures.
• Manage safety and security aspects for IV&V facilities.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and project gates.
• Support qualification activities with test houses.
• Utilise external IV&V facilities and test harnesses.
• Improve SE/IV&V processes, tools and techniques.
• Provide specialist knowledge and mentoring to the team.
