Job summary

Altrad are seeking an IT Senior Systems Administrator to join the Middlesbrough team. You will control, maintain and administer all company systems to a high level of accuracy, ensuring policies are followed and performance is reported to management.

You will manage Active Directory, Azure/Entra, Office 365 and a large fleet of servers, applying updates, security measures and providing support for business software owners. Excellent problem solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Systems Administrator role
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure/Entra
• Proven knowledge of Office 365
• Proficient with Windows Server up to 2025
• Experience with RDS/AVD and Active Directory
• Exchange SE experience.
• SCCM familiarity desired
• PowerShell scripting skills
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VPN, firewall security

Responsibilities

• Manage Active Directory with GPOs, users, computers/servers
• Configure and support Office 365 and Azure/Entra services
• Oversee ~600+ servers across multiple domains and keep systems updated
• Support business software hosted on ICT servers
• Administer, upgrade and maintain back-end systems
• Follow change management to minimize downtime
• Monitor security across WAN and servers
• Manage RDS/Azure Farms and Remote Published Apps
• Assist capacity and availability planning
• Lead operational IT projects and collaborate with project teams
• Provide on-call 24x7x365 support
• Seek improvements with new technologies
