Job summary

Akkodis is partnering with a leading industrial sector provider in Middlesbrough to recruit a Senior IT Systems Administrator. You will join the in‑house team to manage and optimise Microsoft-based infrastructure, cloud services and enterprise systems, delivering third‑line support and subject‑matter expertise across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include administering Azure/Entra and Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server and a 600+ server estate, ensuring patches, monitoring

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure/Entra and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience supporting Microsoft RDS/AVD and Exchange environments.
• Proven Systems Administration experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Azure/Entra, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Manage and maintain a global server estate of 600+ servers, ensuring systems are patched, monitored and operating efficiently.
• Provide 3rd line technical support, troubleshooting complex hardware, software and infrastructure issues.
