Job summary

Active IT is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our Windsor head office with travel across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and West London. You will provide day-to-day IT support, deliver infrastructure projects, and assist in cybersecurity and cloud migration initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in client-facing IT roles, strong Microsoft 365/Azure skills, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. A full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in a customer-facing IT or projects role.
• Relevant IT degree or technical qualification preferred.
• Recent Microsoft certifications are highly regarded.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport required.
• Based in East Berkshire or nearby.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 and Microsoft 365 admin.
• Knowledge of Intune/Endpoint Manager and Azure fundamentals.
• Experience with networking, VPN, and security basics.

Responsibilities

• Represent us on client sites across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and West London.
• Provide day-to-day IT support and deliver infrastructure projects.
• Assist cybersecurity, cloud migration, and network deployment projects.
• Build trusted client relationships and handle complex technical challenges.
