Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Oxford

Work pattern: One day per week in the office

Salary: £65k plus car allowance / wide range of benefits

Our client is a large-scale, multi-faceted international business. Due to continued growth, they are recruiting for a Senior IT Project Manager who will work on IT projects across the full technology stack. This role will be responsible for managing and delivering IT projects within defined requirements across all sectors of the business.

Senior IT Project Manager Responsibilities

1. Design, initiate, and lead large-scale and complex projects to achieve defined business outcomes
2. Plan all stages of the project lifecycle
3. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
4. Execute project plans, monitor progress, and take necessary actions and escalations
5. Manage projects through required stage gates, adhering to frameworks and governance
6. Control project scope; raise and approve changes to scope
7. Report progress at agreed intervals within the governance framework
8. Coordinate with clients, internal resources, and third-party vendors for project execution
9. Use verification techniques to manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs
10. Manage internal stakeholders to ensure customer success

Senior IT Project Manager Profile

• Proven customer-facing experience, both internally and externally
• Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills
• Track record of leading large teams in delivering professional services
• Experience in enhancing team capabilities within project delivery
• Experience working in a centralized change environment with complex stakeholders
• Extensive end-to-end project delivery experience using various methodologies
• Strong IT infrastructure project management experience, focusing on WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi implementations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at senior management levels
