Job Description Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Coventry

Work pattern: One day per week in the office

Salary: £65k plus car allowance / wide range of benefits

Our client is a large-scale, multi-faceted international business. Due to continued growth, they are recruiting a Senior IT Project Manager to work on IT projects across the full technology stack. This role will be responsible for managing and delivering IT projects within defined requirements across all sectors of the business.

Senior IT Project Manager Responsibilities

1. Design, initiate, and lead large-scale, complex projects to achieve defined business outcomes
2. Plan all stages of the project lifecycle
3. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality objectives
4. Execute project plans, monitor progress, and take necessary actions and escalations
5. Manage projects through required stage gates, adhering to frameworks and governance
6. Control project scope; raise and gain approval for scope changes
7. Report progress at agreed intervals to governance frameworks
8. Coordinate with clients, internal resources, and third-party vendors for project execution
9. Use verification techniques to manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs
10. Manage internal stakeholders to ensure customer success

Senior IT Project Manager Profile

• Proven customer-facing experience, both internal and external
• Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills
• Demonstrable track record of leading large teams in delivering professional services
• Experience in enhancing team capabilities within project delivery
• Experience working in a centralized change environment with complex stakeholders
• Extensive end-to-end project delivery experience using various methodologies
• Strong IT infrastructure project management experience, especially WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi implementations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior management
