Job summary

Thames Water in Reading is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT and digital transformation initiatives within the Digital division. You will work with business stakeholders and technical specialists to define scope, plans, budgets, and resources, ensuring delivery meets deadlines and quality standards while maintaining governance and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Experience managing IT projects and technology-enabled business change initiatives in complex delivery environments.
• Ability to define project objectives, develop delivery plans, and motivate multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management, budgeting, and change control capabilities.
• Excellent communication and governance documentation skills.
• Proactive, collaborative approach focused on measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver objectives, milestones, and deliverables across IT and digital change projects.
• Define and baseline project scope, objectives, plans, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Identify, engage, and manage stakeholders with effective communication and decision-making.
• Lead project review meetings covering cost, schedule, RAID, and RAG status.
• Produce and review project status reports with clear updates on progress and risks.
• Manage resources, forecasting, allocation, and team development.
• Participate in PMO assurance activities and ensure governance and reporting standards.
