Job summary

South Ribble and Chorley Councils are seeking a Senior IT Applications Analyst to lead the development, optimisation and support of our business systems across both councils. The role involves prioritising improvements, guiding complex projects and ensuring systems align with organisational goals.

You will work with services and suppliers, develop documentation and train staff on business systems and data, while driving a culture of continuous improvement across the ICT function.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience of IT business systems.
• Experience delivering IT business system projects.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL backed applications.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, configuration, and enhancement of the councils' IT business systems.
• Collaborate with services and suppliers to identify, design and implement systems and process improvements.
• Deliver complex systems projects from inception to completion.
• Provide expert technical advice, troubleshooting and IT system support.
• Support the training of staff in relation to business systems & data, promoting continuous improvement.
• Maintain and develop documentation and data sets.
