The Economist invites an experienced Senior Software Engineer, iOS, to design and build high-quality mobile experiences. You will contribute across the iOS stack and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful features and architectural improvements.

You will work within cross-functional teams, shaping scalable applications for a global audience while mentoring peers and advancing engineering practices. Hybrid work pattern with office presence expected.

Formación

• Professional iOS development experience.
• Strong Swift proficiency and knowledge of iOS frameworks (SwiftUI, UIKit).
• Experience building production-grade mobile apps.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable iOS apps using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Contribute to architecture and improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver user-centric features.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimise app responsiveness and efficiency.
• Contribute to code quality through reviews and standards.
• Support testing, CI/CD, and release processes.
• Work with backend and cross-platform teams for cohesive solutions.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering bar.
