Resident Advisor is seeking a senior iOS engineer to lead the RA Guide app's technical design and code quality. You’ll shape features, own critical code paths, and mentor teammates in a fast, music-focused environment.

Based in Manchester, this full-time role expects three days per week in the office, with a salary between £60,000 and £80,000. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and web teams to deliver stable releases and empower the community through robust software.

Qualifications

• Several years building and releasing iOS apps used at scale.
• Deep experience with Swift, app architecture and refactoring live code.
• Testing and coding habits for stable app releases.
• Ability to explain a technical trade-off to product and design in plain terms.
• Mentoring others through review and pairing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of larger features, aligning iOS and Android on shared APIs.
• Own areas of the codebase and modernise older parts safely.
• Raise release quality with automated UI tests and crash monitoring.
• Review code and mentor other developers.
• Collaborate with web and platform teams on APIs the app depends on.
• Help shape AI usage in development and its boundaries.
