Job summary

Resident Advisor is seeking a senior iOS engineer to shape the design of major features and align iOS and Android APIs. You will steer code quality, own areas of the codebase, and mentor other developers. The role emphasizes automated UI testing, crash monitoring, and collaboration with web and platform teams to evolve shared APIs.

You will help guide AI usage and ensure robust releases. The position is based in London at RA's Head Office with a requirement to be in the office three days

Qualifications

• Several years building and releasing iOS apps used at scale.
• Deep experience with Swift, app architecture and refactoring code that's already live.
• Testing and coding habits for stable app releases.
• You can explain a technical trade-off to product and design in plain terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of larger features, including the specs that line up iOS and Android on the same APIs
• Own areas of the codebase, and modernise older parts of it safely
• Raise release quality: automated UI tests on native frameworks, crash analysis and monitoring
• Review code and mentor other developers
• Work with the web and platform teams on the APIs the app depends on
• Help shape how the team uses AI in development, and where it shouldn't
