Job summary

Resident Advisor in Manchester is seeking an experienced iOS developer to build features for the RA Guide app from design to release, with room to grow toward senior. You’ll join the Apps team—the Apps lead, an Android developer and a product manager—working closely with design and the web teams who power the APIs.

We release weekly; you’ll write clean Swift, implement tests, fix issues, and collaborate across product, design and engineering to deliver a polished experience.

Qualifications

• Experience releasing an iOS app to the App Store, commercially or as substantial personal work.
• Strong Swift, with UIKit or SwiftUI experience.
• Ability to take a feature from design to release with some guidance.
• Write code others can test and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Build new features and improvements from designs and specs, and see them through to the App Store
• Write testable Swift, with unit tests and UI tests alongside it
• Fix bugs and crashes, using our monitoring to find what's hurting users most
• Take part in code review, giving and getting feedback
• Work with the product manager and designer to turn user needs into a polished experience
• Use AI tools where they help, and check what they produce
