Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is inviting applications for a Consultant Cardiologist with an interest in Interventional Cardiology to join the team at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. The post supports an established high-volume interventional service within a tertiary cardiac unit serving a population of 1.3 million.

The role offers a fully consultant contract with a salary range (£114,099–£166,585) per annum for a full-time post, with options for flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Must be on Specialist Register or be within six months of receiving CCT/CESR(CP) at time of interview.
• Experience in interventional cardiology and PCI preferred.
• Provide referees covering at least the last 3 years of employment/training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver approximately 1600 coronary interventions and 2500 diagnostic cardiac catheterisations annually.
• Perform full range of standard and advanced coronary interventional procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotas for acute interventional and general cardiology duties.
