Job summary

The Royal Society of Chemistry is seeking a Senior Internal Communications Specialist (Content) to join our Internal Communications team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will shape and deliver engaging content across multiple formats to support organisational change and strategic goals.

Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional partners, you will develop data-informed content strategies, ensure accessibility, and measure impact across written, audio and visual content.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a strategic communications role, designing, delivering and measuring campaigns
• Proven track record of strategic content planning and governance
• Hands-on experience creating written and digital content for multiple formats (articles, scripts, stories, GIFs, infographics)
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, adaptable to diverse audiences
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to distil complex information into clear, engaging content
• Collaborative mindset; experience working with cross-functional teams
• Meticulous attention to detail and editorial rigour
• Proactive, curious and comfortable with ambiguity in fast-moving environments
