Job summary

Greene King is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to act as an independent assurance function within the Group, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and providing assurance to the Executive Board. The role delivers risk-based audits across the business, identifying good practice and weaknesses with impactful recommendations.

You'll lead a small team, mentor junior auditors, and help mature the IA capability through robust methodologies, timely reporting, and stakeholder engagement across GK's

Qualifications

• Professional internal audit qualification (IIA) or equivalent.
• Experience in finance controls desirable.
• Knowledge of governance and risk management frameworks.
• Experience auditing major transformation programmes advantageous.
• Knowledge of ESG governance frameworks advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Member of the Head Office Internal Audit Team.
• Supports the Head of IA in developing IA capability including mentoring junior Auditors.
• Mature IA capability through improved methodology and high quality auditing.
• Work closely with Executives and SLT.
• Deliver the Audit Plan including test plans, findings and action close-out.
• Support junior auditors in audit delivery and quality checks.
• Independent appraisal of policy and control effectiveness.
• Report findings and monitor management's response and implementation.
• Review the accuracy and relevance of financial information for management.
• Develop and maintain GK assurance map.
• Provide risk and mitigation advice while remaining independent.
