Job summary

Brewer Morris is hiring an Assistant Manager to join its Internal Audit team. You will manage a portfolio of clients, lead planning and delivery of risk-based internal audits, and produce high-quality reports for senior stakeholders including Audit Committees.

The role offers exposure to a range of sectors, leadership development and opportunities to contribute to methodologies and business development. PQE and professional qualifications are essential for progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified accounting/internal audit designation.
• Experience in professional services or in-house IA.
• Experience with diverse clients/sectors.
• Strong writing and stakeholder skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of a portfolio of internal audit clients and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Assist with the preparation of risk-based internal audit plans and annual audit programmes.
• Lead and deliver internal audit assignments from planning through to reporting.
• Prepare high-quality audit reports and review the work of junior team members.
• Support client meetings, Audit Committee presentations and wider stakeholder engagement.
• Manage assignments to agreed budgets and deadlines, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
• Coach, develop and review junior members of the team.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional value to clients and support wider business development initiatives.
• Contribute to technical research, methodology improvements and wider team projects as required.
