Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Transportation is seeking a Senior Consultant in Intelligent Mobility to lead client projects and shape innovative transport solutions. You will drive project delivery, stakeholder engagement and technical guidance across intelligent mobility initiatives.

You will mentor junior colleagues, contribute to proposals, and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tangible transport outcomes that align with client priorities and our strategic IT&I objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder management and communication across client organisations, partners and internal teams.
• Proven experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments to deliver successful project outcomes.
• A genuine desire to mentor, support and develop junior colleagues, contributing to a positive and high-performing team culture.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to take ownership of challenges and drive work forward independently.
• Experience of project management and commercial delivery, including cost forecasting, budget control and resource planning.
• Demonstrable success in securing follow-on work and developing opportunities with existing clients through the delivery of high-quality consultancy services.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively through ambiguity and complex situations.
• Experience delivering Intelligent Mobility, ITS, transport technology or related digital transformation projects, with a client-focused and outcome-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Intelligent Mobility and transport technology projects, ensuring quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved while meeting client expectations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery partners, developing trusted advisor status and identifying opportunities for follow-on work.
• Support the development of proposals and bids for existing clients, helping to secure repeat business and grow key accounts.
• Lead project management activities, including programme planning, resource management, risk management, budget control and commercial reporting.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions where established approaches may not always exist.
• Provide technical input and guidance across Intelligent Mobility, transport technology and digital transformation projects.
• Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and helping to develop their technical, consulting and project management capabilities.
• A genuine desire to mentor, support and develop junior colleagues, contributing to a positive and high-performing team culture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, identifying new ideas and opportunities to enhance project delivery, client service and business performance.
